The backbone of our operation.
We feel that the most important asset of our business is our employees and their ability to satisfy our customers’ automotive service and repair needs. We work hard to provide an enjoyable working atmosphere and pay our Technicians fair wages. We want their number one focus to be on fixing our customers’ vehicles, taking the time that is needed to do the job right, the first time.
In addition, our knowledgeable and friendly service advisors are always ready and quick to help our customers. It is a team effort, and we appreciate the contribution made by each member of our staff.
Rolf’s Import Auto Service – Lakewood:
Eric McCown
Service Advisor
Eric joined Rolf’s Lakewood facility in May 2010. He was born in Florida and grew up in Los Angeles. Eric comes to Rolf’s with 10 years experience in the automotive industry. Eric is excited with the opportunities that Rolf’s has to offer and he has quickly learned his niche. He enjoys meeting new customers and working along with other competent staff members. When not at work Eric enjoys building computers, hiking, mountain bike riding, and is in the process of obtaining his private pilot license.
Linda Ngo
Service Receptionist
Linda joined Rolf’s Lakewood facility in January 2011. She’s the newest addition to our team and enjoys meeting and helping out everyone here at Rolf’s. Linda has a great background in customer service, and is always ready to learn something new. When she’s not working at Rolf’s she likes to spend her time with friends and family. She also enjoys cooking up new dishes for the dinner table.
Joe Betti
Lead Technician
Joe was born in Santa Rosa, CA and he grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. After high school, Joe had found that he excelled in automotive repair and customization.
While maintaining his day-to-day vehicle and building custom hot rods, Joe continued his education in the automotive field by attending Sequoia Technical College, San Francisco State and completing his degree at University of California Berkeley.
Joe started his career working for DINAN, a manufacturer of aftermarket performance upgrades for BMW. Joe found that he was better at diagnostic and repair than fabrication and decided to find a position where he could utilize his skills.
In 1996, Joe and his family relocated to the Pacific Northwest. For the past ten years, Joe has excelled in working with luxury performance vehicles.
Joe is happily married with four beautiful children. He lives locally in the Lakewood community and enjoys spending as much personal time with his family as possible.
Bryan Wines
Apprentice Technician
Bryan was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington. He recently graduated from Clover Park Technical College in Lakewood. He has worked at General Dynamics repairing and refurbishing Strykers. He has recently joined the Rolf’s team as an apprentice technician in our Lakewood facility. Bryan loves working on cars and when he is not doing that he also enjoys snowboarding and fishing.
Rolf’s Import Auto Service – Fife:
Peter Lueken
Service Manager
Peter was born in Mount Vernon, Washington but moved to and grew up in University Place and Tacoma. After high school, Peter attended Tacoma Community College, while at the same time he worked for a local import repair facility.
Peter enjoyed the busy schedule of school and work. After receiving his Associate’s Degree from TCC, Peter was accepted into the business program at University of Washington, Tacoma.
Peter continued working in the automotive industry during the day and taking college courses in the evenings, graduating with a Business Administration Degree focusing in management in 2001. During that time, he also volunteered as the school’s softball coach, worked in the school’s writing center and interned at Enterprise Rent-a-car.
After graduation, Peter was promoted to service advisor at the repair facility and continued to increase his knowledge of the automotive industry, as well as gain valuable customer service experience. Peter excelled during his first four years at Rolf’s Fife location as a service advisor, and in January 2010 was promoted to the Service Manager position.
When not at work, Peter enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife and children. Along with family time, Peter’s weekends are filled with camping, watching and attending sporting events as well as working around the house. Peter is a die-hard Husky fan, which leads to some good natured ribbing from his co-workers and friends.
Carol Peterson
Service Advisor
Carol was born in Devils Lake North Dakota then moved out West with her parents and five siblings. She grew up in Redmond and has lived in the Pacific Northwest most of her life. Her dad, Ralph, owned an independent repair shop in Issaquah, where she learned how to change oil and would run for parts occasionally during summer months. She has been a service advisor for 15 years. She enjoys “glam” camping in her motorhome on the weekends with her family during the summer. She is a newly recruited Cougar fan as her son Maxwell is a WSU freshman. She likes to karaoke, golf and cook gourmet food. She looks forward to increasing her knowledge of vehicles within the German arena. She is excited to be with the Rolf’s team!
Mike Pavlas
Level III Technician – Mercedes Certified
Upon completion of high school in the Key Peninsula area, Mike worked at a local tire store while saving money for school. Shortly after, he was able to enroll at Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, AZ, which is one of the highest accredited training facilities in the industry.
After finishing the general automotive section of training, Mike attended the ongoing Mercedes-specific courses, graduating in the top five of his class with an Associate’s Degree.
Moving back to the Pacific Northwest, Mike worked at Mercedes of Tacoma, where he not only worked as a service technician, but was also a roadside service representative. Over the next three years, Mike obtained several ongoing training credits with Mercedes of North America, including Engine Mechanical and Electrical & Body Systems.
Mike has been working with Rolf’s Import Auto Service since 2005 and excels with later Mercedes Benz. This complements Rolf’s Import very well, helping us with the newer models as his growth continues in other makes of luxury performance vehicles.
Robert Stafford
ASE Certified Technician
Robert “Rob” Stafford joined Rolf’s Fife facility in 2008 after 26 years service at another import repair shop in Tacoma. An ASE Certified Technician, Rob is also Bosch Certified in fuel-injection systems and has received extensive training for the repair and service of European vehicles.
A native of the Tacoma area, Rob lives in Spanaway with his wife and two teenage sons. The entire family is involved with 4×4 off-roading and three family members own Jeeps used for events and racing. Rob is the Competition Chairman of the Pacific Northwest Four Wheel Drive Association and is active in the Cascade 4×4 Club.
